Last weekend, it felt more like we were resuming our normal lives, with a drive planned for the Blue Ridge Parkway and up to Elk Mountain road. It was a joint club drive with both of the MINI clubs where we are members. The two groups were meeting on the BRP at an overlook between them. The overlook was closer for us, so we met them there. We always enjoy drives in our beautiful, western North Carolina mountains, and even more so with our MINI clubs.  We actually belong to two, one based in North Carolina and one based in the Upstate of South Carolina.  This time, the Upstate group planned a safely social drive where the route came very close to our home.  So, instead of driving an hour to get to the start, we waited for them to come by us and then joined the group.
